I have spent lockdown in the city, negotiating busy pavements and seeking out green spaces. We did escape to Weston Super Mare on a stormy day, where the trees are bent double as they are on Skye, and up and down the whole of the west coast.
I’ve enjoyed revisiting the image of the figure in the landscape in my printmaking recently, since thinking a lot more about the luxuries of open space and human contact.
