Aileen is a printmaker and painter, and lives in Lochcarron, Wester Ross. She likes to be out in the wilds, walking and sketching, and so she has found the period of lockdown quite difficult. She has been exploring and sketching in her immediate area, thinking about motifs to represent that feeling of being hemmed in, denied access to the hills. She has also used the time in the studio to explore new ideas, techniques and materials. The work in this exhibition has mostly been done over the lockdown period.
